Combining platform and battle royale genres, Fall Guys crossplay now allows console and PC players to compete against each other. Mediatonic, the developer of the game, where 40 players tried to win the playoffs, announced the end of the development process for the Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions.
How does Fall Guys crossplay work?
Currently, players need to have an Epic account to take advantage of crossplay supported on PlayStation 4 and PC ( acquired by production company Epic in March last year). Players whose games are linked to the Epic account can play together in all online modes. Xbox and Switch versions of the game will also be able to take advantage of crossplay following their release.
Fall Guys, released in 2020, was particularly popular after being distributed for free with PlayStation Plus. The interest was so great that the game became one of the most downloaded PlayStation Plus games ever, making it one of the Guinness World Records. In the same year, about 20 million players were reached.
The game is now in its 6th season, regularly fed with new episodes and cosmetic elements with seasonal updates.
