FIFA 23, which was released recently, seems to have made a successful debut despite all the criticisms. An important statistic was shared at the end of the first week for the game, which received great criticism, especially on issues such as animation errors and momentum. According to EA Games, at the end of the first week, FIFA 23 has reached a much higher number of players than the old games of the series.
FIFA surpasses 10 million players in the first week of 23
After the first week of the game released on September 27, it was announced that it was played by 10.3 million game lovers in total, passing the 10 million player threshold. This figure also sets a new record for the FIFA series in terms of the opening of the first week. Despite all the criticism, we see that players have shown great interest in FIFA 23.
Nick Wlodyka, Senior Vice President, EA Sports FC, said: “The response from our fans has been incredible and we’re thrilled that our community is playing FIFA 23 with record numbers with their favourite players and teams. With exciting updates to both the Men’s and Women’s World Cups and our upcoming women’s club football content, we have started to offer players the most authentic and immersive experience ever.”
FIFA 23 will be the last game of the series with this name and the series will continue next year under the name EA Sports FC.
