Producer and director Naoki Yoshida has announced that Final Fantasy 14 will be available again from January 25, 2022.
Sales of the game were suspended in December due to server issues following a spike in users following the release of the Endwalker expansion.
To help solve the problem, Square Enix will open on January 25th, two weeks earlier than previously planned.
The first plan was for the data center to host three servers and then add two more, but due to the recent increase in players, it will host five servers from day one.
Yoshida added that Square Enix will offer incentives to transfer to new servers “such as waiving the transfer fee.”
