Some of the entries noticed through the EpicData Tracker in recent months indicated that Alan Wake Remastered and Final Fantasy 7 Remake would be released exclusively to EGS. Alan Wake Remastered is now confirmed, according to leaked information today, the game will be released on October 5th.
Confirmation of this information is also a confirmation for Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Considering that Square Enix recently introduced the Kingdom Hearts franchise to PC players through the Epic Games Store for the first time in its history, we can say that there is an agreement between them and Epic, including Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
In fact, Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s 12-month PlayStation exclusive deal expired in April of this year. But with PS5 Intergrade released in June, the deal has been extended. If they have signed a six-month deal here, it is now possible to say that PC players can now get Final Fantasy 7 Remake by the end of this year or early 2022.
These exclusive agreements between Square Enix and Sony will also apply to the next Final Fantasy game, with Final Fantasy 16 coming out exclusively on PS5 first.
