Square Enix will remake the first 6 games of the Final Fantasy series under the name Pixel Remaster, the first 3 of which were released in the last week. The biggest criticism about the games was that the font used had a very modern style compared to the graphics of the games, but with it it was very small, narrow and difficult to read.
As always, it fell to the players and modists, of course, since the game’s release we have seen attempts to correct the font. There were some successful ones among them, but the interface of the game was also adjusted to this narrow font, so some parts could have problems such as overflowing the writing.
Twitter user Patera Quetzal shared the font that solves all these problems. Inspired by the font used in Earthbound, Quetzal made all the special glyphs and numbers look right.
He even did another multilingual, multilingual font study based on Poppy Works’ Silver font for players who would prefer languages other than English. This second font supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
