Square Enix announced the ‘Pixel Remaster’ versions for the first 6 games of the Final Fantasy series at E3. The fact that each game will be sold separately doesn’t make players think their wallets are being looked at. And the news now confirms that in a sense.
Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI will be removed from sale on steam pages from July 27, 2021. You can buy the Pixel Remaster version instead.”
Square Enix did not disclose the release dates or prices of these remaster versions. It is also unclear whether those with the original version will have the right to a free update or the chance to purchase it at a discount. It is also a question of how much pixel remaster versions are developed compared to the original games.
But there are some who think and are hopeful that the new versions will be more playable due to the troubled FF V and FF VI Steam versions.
We’ll see what awaits us next month, we’re on the look-after.
