Nearly a decade after its release, the number of Final Fantasy XIV players continues to increase. More than a million players reportedly signed up between October and November.
With nearly 40,000 simultaneous players at the end of June, Final Fantasy 14 effectively doubled its player base in the last six months.
According to Eurogamer,the number of players in the game has now exceeded 25 million. The game also broke the all-time active player record on Steam following Endwalker’s early access launch.
In October, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIV had become the most profitable game in the series of more than 30 games created in 1987.
