In recent weeks, the first promotional video from FIFA 22was released and HyperMotion technology was introduced. Although HyperMotion technology was introduced in this video, not much detail was given and nothing was shown about the game. Today, the official EA SPORTS FIFA YouTube channel has released a FIFA 22 gameplay trailer and provided a lot of details about the game. The video also talks about what’s new in the game when describing HyperMotion technology.
First gameplay trailer and new details from FIFA 22
While the phrases “Football-powered” and “Revolutionary gameplay are here” in the published gameplay video attracted a lot of attention, HyperMotion technology and future innovations were introduced in detail. In FIFA 22, movements were captured from 22 real professional footballers who played at a high tempo for the first time in Xsens clothes. This collects unprecedented amounts of high-quality real human movement data, analyzing how both players and teams move in FIFA 22 and reflecting them into the game.
More than 8.7 million match frames will be captured with a state-of-the-art machine learning algorithm, creating organic football realism on the field with various interactions on the field, simultaneously creating new animations and trying to improve your next generation OF FIFA 22 experience. In addition, FIFA 22 features more than 4,000 new animations, with data recorded every touch, challenge, run and duel of 22 real professional footballers playing at a high tempo for the first time in Xsens outfits. This feature promises a very realistic FIFA 22 experience while shaping the tempo, reaction and physicality of every player in the game on a case-by-case basis.
With FIFA 22, it will now be in tactical AI. A deeper player intelligence driven by the power of the next generation of consoles gives each player a better understanding of both attacking and defensive placements and movements, while creating a new level of tactical reality. The new tactical AI gives the attackers up to 6 times more decision-making per second in the attack part, while giving the attackers more awareness of their surroundings. It allows players to make smarter runs in the advancing game, while reacting faster to light balls. In the defensive part, the rewritten defensive AI provides teams with features such as covering up space, maintaining positions and moving through the field.
With longer two-touch animations, controlling the ball will be made more natural and fluid than ever. It will be able to respond to aerial cannons with more techniques, while capturing ground balls will result in greater agility. You’ll also be able to experience new player animations and ambient behavior with advanced 11v11 match capture technology. Thanks to this technology, which helps bring the characters on the field to life, you will be able to adapt much more realistically to the inside of the match, which will see players communicate with each other, make tactical signs and guide each other.
The EA side looks more ambitious than ever for the new FIFA. It is worth noting that “Groundbreaking HyperMotion technology will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Stadia,” according to the official Electronic Arts website. In short, we will not see this technology on the PC side and we will encounter an older generation FIFA 22. Check out the official gameplay trailer for the game below.
