Outerminds has released the first trailer for the Metroidvania game Turbo Kid, based on the original film. A Kickstarter campaign to fund the game will also begin on August 20.
Turbo Kid is a post-apocalyptic Metroidvania by Outerminds. Based on the film of the same name, the game is about the adventure of The Kid in search of a friend in the distant future of 1997. As he crosses barren terrain, he encounters a series of events that he must fight on his own.
Turbo Kid is scheduled for release in 2022. The platforms have not yet been announced.
