Former Capcom USA CEO Kiichiro Urata joins Sony Interactive Entertainment as the new Vice President, head of Japan’s Asia partner development and relations division.
Urata was president of Capcom’s U.S. and European business divisions for nearly a decade from September 2011 to August 2021. Prior to that, he held executive roles at Microsoft between 2002 and 2011.
PlayStation also recently made its third acquisition of the season, acquiring Firesprite, the UK studio put together by the founders of Sony’s former Liverpool Studio.
