Recently, a new AAA game development studio called Liithos was founded by Michael Mumbauer, who previously worked at PlayStation Studios, and John Garvin, creative director of Days Gone. It was announced that the newly formed team is developing an open-world game called Ashfall. New details about this game have emerged.
In a statement, Garvin said: “Michael and I have worked together for almost two decades. The new game is a really new and exciting opportunity for us. We’re bringing the group back together.
Our goal is to create a truly next-generation and open-world experience that interacts with new technologies by also allowing user-generated content. As always, our focus is on presenting players with a huge world of beloved characters, fascinating stories and elements of discovery.
We are developing an NFT-based game. This will be a way to have deeper and more engaging experiences than we’ve seen before. Players will do things they already love to do. We’re also going to reward them a lot and focus on what they love.”
For this new game, HBAR will provide funding. This organization provides various resources to developers who want to put decentralized applications into service in games and other industries as well.
