Forspoken was rated 18 by PEGI for Europe. The rating agency has written in detail the reasons for the game’s 18 ratings, luckily it doesn’t contain too many spoilers:)
For one thing, it is said that there is harsh language in the game (which is something we are already used to), as well as the presence of alcohol use and in-game purchases, which has had a direct impact on the degree.
“The actor’s character can order alcoholic beverages at the bar. This drink affects the player’s stats, but it does so randomly in a way that can have negative consequences.”
Among the examples of violence is that “the woman was trapped by a group of hoodlums, punched and kicked, and had a gun to her head.” The game’s promotional text read, “Frey Holland, mysteriously teleported from New York City.” In PEGI’s explanation, it is said that the main character thought of taking his own life while drunk, but before he could do so, he was saved by a mysterious being. These two must be connected.
Postponed, Forspoke will meet the players on October 11, 2022.
