Hints of a possible Fortnite Lord of the Rings crossover event may have been found in-game. The update to a sand castle under construction during the current season of Fortnite did not escape the eyes of a Twitter user. With a huge hole drilled in the sand castle, the players realized how similar the design of the castle was to the famous Helmet Bottom Castle.

It is a known fact that Fortnite incorporates a piece of every current media product with crossover activity. Previously, Darth Vader and Indiana Jones joined the Fortnite universe. On World Star Wars day, characters like Kylo Ren were added to the game. Fortnite seems determined to gather all the media products in itself and turn into a game that will dominate them all.
Twitter user ShiinaBR pointed out the similarity between the sand castle in Fortnite and Helm’s Deep. Apart from the huge breach opened in both castles, the general design and the path leading to the castle have been worked out very carefully. With Rings of Power set to premiere on September 2, some characters from the LOTR universe may make the switch to Fortnite in the coming weeks. However, some recent developments may postpone such crossovers. Embracer had purchased the Lord of the Rings rightsa few days earlier. This gave the rights to all kinds of games, movies and series related to the universe to the giant Swedish company.
