Fortnite’s fundraiser for Ukraine is now over. Exactly a week earlier, on March 28, the amount of donations raised was $70 million. That amount had been reached in just four days, but with the end of the campaign still days away, it was a question of how much donations would be raised in total.
When the campaign ended, we saw that exactly $144 million had been raised. This donation will be transferred to charities such as Direct Relief, UNICEF and the UN World Food Programme.
Epic Games announced that it would donate all proceeds from Fortnite for two weeks, and Xbox supported the campaign, stating that it would donate its own revenue from Fortnite over the same period.
The gaming world is showing its reaction to Ukraine through various campaigns in support of Ukraine, while on the other hand, russia is showing its reaction by withdrawing its games from sale and/or stopping its activities.
