French trade union Solidaires Informatique has announced a class action lawsuit against Ubisoft for alleged institutional sexual harassment.
The union said it had filed the lawsuit in a French court. Solidaires Informatique identified creative chief executive Serge Hascoët, HR president Cécile Cornet, editor-in-chief Tommy François and CEO Yves Guillemot, as well as Hascoët’s assistant and many other members of the HR team as targets of the case. Hascoet and François left the company following the investigation.
Solidaires Informatique reported that Guillemot, who is CEO, is responsible for what happened at the company.
The union reports that abusers must testify in the case or consent to the case. It also says it will cover all legal costs of these transactions.
