Usually when I sit at the beginning of a game, I minimize human needs. For me, the real world begins to be replaced by the world of gaming, and I don’t like to go back to the real world without what I get from that universe. Although he has all kinds of problems, Far Cry has always given me this experience in a beautiful way, but I still don’t want to fall on a desert island. Because from what I’ve learned from the series, if we fall on a desert island, the only thing we have to take with us are game bugs! Of course, it’s hard for real-life people to be so stupid, I’d probably get busted and eaten by alligators in the first action trial.
While a brand new (?!) Far Cry game is out, let’s take a look at what we’ve seen, what we’ve been through, a journey through the history of the wilderness.
Aaa Cevat Yerli – Far Cry
By 2004, we were faced with the birth of Far Cry. And we have a very familiar face waiting for us. Cevat Yerli, one of crytek’s co-founders, is both the director of the first game and one of the programmers with CryEngine 1. First of all, there is not a huge connection between the in-computer game and the Far Cry games that we know today. In the play, we can see our main character, Jack Carver, in the occasional scene. Anyway, most of the mission venues where the game takes place are indoors and facilities. Of course, we’re going straight up the mountain and raiding a military camp, but there’s a much more linear line.
For 2004, far cry, with its very entertaining mechanics, self-playing story and cool main character, marked the beginning of an era. That’s how crytek’s birth and the path towards the legend of Crysis began. Our story, Far Cry, was going to change a lot and move on. When we look back today, it is possible to say that Far Cry 1 has different meanings.
Do You Care About Navigation in One Hand and Map in One Hand? – Far Cry 2
Four years later, the world changed and Far Cry 2 arrived. When the first game came out, I wasn’t very attracted to the concept of the open world, except for GTA 3, Vice City and a few RPG games. I was more familiar with linear games. Then Far Cry 2 came along and I woke up sick in the heart of Africa. It’s a big savannah, different people in the forests. There was a living world in Far Cry 2, and maybe that’s what connected me the most to this series.
We had to take medication every hour because we had malaria in the game. Which makes you think twice before the action. When we were wandering the open world, we could find our way through one hand and the map in the other. It was a well-thought-out mechanic to be able to befriend multiple choice characters and finish missions in different ways. Isn’t it fun enough to save it from a murderous man when you’re already trying not to die of malaria in a Central African country?!
Vaas And Praise for Madness – Far Cry 3
There is a connection between these Far Cry games and the European Champions. In 2004, 2008, we met Far Cry 3 and its chief nut Vaas, who launched the series in 2012. Before I knew much about the game, vaas praise was starting to shake the sky. His “Joker-like” attitude got us into trouble a lot of times in the story, and ultimately we were a rich kid who went on vacation with friends, what could have happened to us?
If the events of the Hangover movies sound absurd to you, go on vacation with Jason Brody and his friends and see what Far Cry 3 has finally become. Far Cry 3 became a cult, surpassing even its own brand. I wish the game wasn’t so popular and UbiSoft dared to try different things in the future. Because after the transition between the first two games, we never saw that big jump again.
Helicopter Far Cry 3 – Far Cry 4
We left Africa, a break in the Pacific, and now we’re in India; a. When we started a game called Far Cry, I thought I was going to go to space lands, but in every game we went to different realms. This time, far cry 4 or 3 + helicopter, which was released in 2014 during the World Cup year, was taking us to a fictional Himalayan country called Kryat. We were waiting for a spiritual and political journey here. Although Vaas was much loved, I liked Pagan Min more than he did. For one thing, he was a quality dictator?!
The basic mechanics of the game were almost entirely copies of the three. They just added a helicopter for a little convenience in transportation. Still, there was a little more diversity in terms of the story. There was another civil war in a civil war. We could also fit the roadmap of the two characters at the beginning of the Golden Path. Yet we, Ajay Ghale, were responsible for our own destiny. One of the best details in the game was that if we listened to Pagan at first, we could have the happiest possible ending. I really liked this secret last logic.
Preacher – Far Cry 5
When the first details about Far Cry 5 came out, we thought we were finally one step closer to civilization. After all, the game was set in America, Montana. We were going to fight a cult in a fictional city called Hope County. But in a game called Far Cry, civilization is not an easy thing to find. There were always political messages throughout the series, and those messages influenced the decisions we made. By the time we got to the fifth game, this policy was in the crosshamble, and historical events like the Cold War and the 9/11 Attacks were suddenly in the story. Father (Joseph Seed) and his followers radically took over Hope County to survive a global catastrophe. That’s where we were coming in, in this city where we stepped in as Deputy, we raided the facility with a Cheeseburger (my favorite companion, a diabetic bear), and we were put to sleep by Faith, but we never thought to listen to Joseph. By the time the game was over, all my views on Joseph had changed. The New Dawn supplement, which was already told after the events, included a lot of details about Joseph and Deputy. I’ll put Vaas and Pagan Min aside, and I think Joseph Seed was the most special character in the Far Cry series so far.
Five games, three European Championships and two World Cups. That’s changed since Far Cry came into our lives. Considering that EURO 2020 was held this year due to the pandemic, Far Cry seems to have returned to its essence. This time we will fight against Anton Castillo in a Caribbean dictatorship in Yara, we are very close to civilization again and we have moved away again. For the first time in the Far Cry series, where political text is always at the forefront, we will again travel mountains, hills, ridges and enjoy the atmosphere in an atmosphere where the revolutionaries are really struggling.
It was ringing at the end; Don’t Cry For Me Wound 🙂
