Dear Gamers, I have good news for all of you! Futurama, one of the most entertaining series in human history, returns after a long separation. Hulu and the show’s creators, Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, have reached an agreement, and the brightest cargo team of the future is reuniting. The good news is not limited to this, the voice-over team of the original series has also been largely preserved and included in the project. Hulu, which ordered 20 episodes in the first place, hopes we can get the return it wants and enjoy watching the Long Futurama again.
Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr and David Herman are all returning as voice actors. My second favorite character (the first, of course, is Doctor Zoidberg!) Bender’s voice actor John DiMaggio has yet to sign for a comeback. But reports from Variety suggest that the self-righteous Bender will return to the show soon, and that if our shiny butt isn’t polished enough, the search for a new voiceover will begin. I hope that doesn’t happen…
Studio recordings and preparations for the series will begin this month, so we can officially watch Futurama in 2023. For Futurama, which was previously cancelled for ridiculous reasons, the free environment of streaming services seems much more livable. Craig Erwich, president of Hulu Originals, said: “We are delighted to have had the chance to present new episodes of Futurama to fans, we look forward to diving into this universe.” he explained.
David Cohen, producer of the original series, said: “I’m so excited to have a chance to think about the future again. In fact, everything will be much better except now.” and confirmed the union. Matt Groening said, “It’s a great honor to announce the triumphant return of Futurama. Before, of course, once again it was absurdly cancelled…” he said, saluting previous publishers. Futurama, a 14-time Emmy nominee and six-time winner throughout its history, hopes his future will be brighter this time around. We really missed the team.
