The most anticipated game for the rest of the year will undoubtedly be God of War: Ragnarök. Players are rightly looking forward to learning new information about the game and seeing new images. The quietly updated PlayStation Store page offers a new explanation of the game’s story.
Thanks to this update, we can say that we will visit all nine Norse lands in the game.
A cloth map found in the Jotnar Edition version of God of War: Ragnarök also depicts all nine realms, accompanied by various mythological figures. It is very possible that we will see many of these figures in the game.
The names of the nine Norse lands are as follows: Asgard, Jotunheim, Alfheim, Vanaheim, Midgard, Svartalheim, Muspelheim, Niflheim and Helheim
In the first game, we visited a total of six lands. These were, in addition to Midgard, Alfheim, Helheim, Jotunheim, Muspelheim and Nilfheim. So we will visit Vanaheim, Svartalheim and Asgard for the first time.
Of the five realms besides Midgard you can access in God of War, three of them are traveled to as part of the story. Alfheim, Helheim, and Jotunheim are all major parts of the main quest. The other two, Muspelheim and Niflheim are unlocked from collecting travel runes.
The PlayStation Store page reads:
In the released cinematic trailer of the game, we saw Kratos and Atreus face to face with Fenrir. Fenrir is one of Loki’s three children. The other two are Jormungandr (the world snake from the first game) and Hel. Of course, with the facts we learn at the end of the first game, how these encounters will be shaped is a matter of great curiosity.
