We can say that the countdown for God of War: Ragnarök has begun. After a long period of rumors and leaks, Sony recently made a statement and the God of War: Ragnarok release date was finally announced as November 9. Following the explanations, a new detail came today and Sony made the expected “plot synopsis” statement about the God of War: Ragnarök story details.
God of War: Ragnarök story details have arrived
A brief summary of the story details was published on both the store page and the official site of the game. When we look at this summary, we see that the game will not only touch on the story of Ragnarök, but also on the subject of Fimbulwinter, while accepting it as a precursor to it. Fimbulwinter is referred to in Norse mythology as the long and arduous winter that foretold Ragnarök’s future before it happened. The official story summary is as follows;
“The sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018) from Santa Monica Studio is coming. Fimbulwinter is at the door. Kratos and Atreus must travel to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Asgard’s forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world.”
“Along the way, they will explore fascinating, legendary landscapes and face terrifying enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. The threat of ragnarök is increasing. Kratos and Atreus must choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms.”
