Job postings shared by Godfall’s developer Counterplay Games indicate that the firm is working on a new IP. The details of the advertisements also include some information about the game.
In an advertisement on the company’s website; A producer is reportedly being sought for a “co-op action fantasy shooter” that has not yet been announced.
Another ad is for the staff. The ad says a writer is being sought to “support the writing of the story of a new IP.” This suggests that the new game is not a sequel to Godfall.
The animation programmer’s ad says the game will be conflict-based, so it’s looking for candidates with experience in 3D action games and action RSOs. The ad details indicate that the game will be played from the 3rd Person camera, that there will be multiplayer mode alongside the single-person script section, and that it may even be a game with privacy, based on the fact that the experience on “assassination animations” is mentioned as a plus.
Considering that Godfall has failed to live up to expectations, we can expect more careful steps to be taken for the new game. We’ll start tracking whether that’s the case with the official announcement; Let’s see when it’s announced.
