Amazon‘s best original content, Good Omens, was widely acclaimed for its first season but did not get approval for the sequel season. This mystical comedy starring Michael Sheen and David Tennanthas finally had its second season. One of the book’s two authors, grandmaster Neil Gaiman,will star in the second season.
“Let’s see what great and dangerous troubles follow our favorite angel and devil this time. Great news, Good Omens is coming back with its second season!” Gaiman, who heralded the return with his statement, paid tribute to Terry Pratchett, who co-wrote the book, and explained the process of the work’s emergence.
“Good Omens has been published for thirty-one years. Terry and I slept in our beds in a hotel room during the World Fantasy Convention in Seattle. I used some of this story in Good Omens, the angels were coming from here. David Tennant, who plays Crowley,perhaps his favorite character in Good Omens, said, “The return of Good Omens is great news for me. I’m so happy to be working with Michael again. And I’m so excited to be able to reuse Neil’s wonderful words.” Said.
The series Good Omens, which aired on Amazon Prime in 2019, attracted a lot of reactions, especially from the religious community. There were even those who attributed the absence of season two to it. Filming for the new season of the show will begin in Scotland at the end of this year.
