Developed by WB Games Montreal, Gotham Knights was a Batman game set in the DC universe that didn’t have Batman in it. The game, in which we could control Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing and Red Hood, attracted attention with its open world and co-op gameplay elements. The Gotham Knights release date was first announced as 2021, but was postponed until 2022 at this time last year. Warner Bros has finally broken its silence for the game, whose net release date has not been announced.
Gotham Knights release date announced as October 25, 2022
Led by director Patrick Redding, who previously worked on Splinter Cell Conviction and Blacklist, the project will take on the adventures of Bruce Wayne, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing and Red Hood, who took over gotham’s protection after Batman’s death. According to Warner Bros, the Gotham Knights are set in a “dynamic and interactive” open-world City where players compete with iconic villains such as Mr. Freeze and The Penguin using a variety of abilities, weapons and unique fighting moves.
Gotham Knights’ second Batman game developed by WB Games Montreal. The company developed Batman: Arkham Origins, which predated Rocksteady’s trilogy. However, the Gotham Knights will not be linked to these games and will be set in an entirely new universe.
