When Sony started to adapt PlayStation games to the screen, we immediately thought of games that came to the forefront with their stories such as God of War, Last of Us, Uncharted. The possibility that the games we drive like Twisted Metal and Gran Turismo are series or movies was funny until a few years ago. However, Sony is quite serious about this. after Twisted Metal, Gran Turismo also had the opportunity to step on the gas. The film, which will be directed by Neill Blomkamp, will be released on August 11, 2023 .
Inspired by a true story, we will witness the journey of an adolescent who has done great things in Gran Turismo to become a true professional car racer. The film, which is currently in early development, will feature Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan as producers for PlayStation. Doug Belgrade and Dana Brunetti are also producers of the film. This real-life scenario will be written by Jason Hall. The Gran Turismo movie, which we will watch in partnership with Columbia Pictures and Sony, looks quite interesting.

Finally, a review of the debuted Gran Turismo 7 game included a criticism that “there is no dialogue at all”. I can’t help but wonder if Sony took this criticism too seriously.
