Publisher Cygames and developer Cygames Osaka have postponed the action role-playing game Granblue Fantasy: Relink from the previously scheduled 2022 release year to 2023. The game will debut for PC on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Steam.
Producer Yuito Kimura said of the postponement: “The development team worked hard to prepare Granblue Fantasy: Relink for its targeted release date of 2022. We understand the players’ enthusiasm for this game. Unfortunately, we have to postpone the game to 2023.
Although the internal and external adverse conditions created by the pandemic were one of the biggest obstacles to the development process, all the staff spared no effort to make up for the lost time. However, considering the wide-ranging nature of this game, we had to postpone it. As we approach the final part of development, we believe more time is needed to further develop and optimize gameplay.
The script, sounds, music and other parts are complete. In the process, we focus on improving game stability, resolving bugs, improving audio and graphics quality, and maximizing the overall experience. We ask for your patience a little more.
More information was scheduled to be announced in June 2022. But we’ve shifted that to December 2022. We can’t wait to show you what we have!”
