New information about the recent GTA 6 announcement continues to emerge. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick gave some new details about the production in a statement to the gameindustry.biz site.
GTA may contain 6 NFT
“You always have to be willing to be fresh,” Zelnick said. You should always be willing to bring what they want to consumers. The moment you try to preserve the past, you become insignificant,” he said.
Rockstar is “excited” to be working on a new GTA game, the Take-Two CEO added, adding that despite its endless failures, NFT is a legitimate thing. “We believe the NFT is real, and why not? We believe in digital products and have been selling digital products for a very long time. We believe in rare products, we believe in collections,” he said.
Although no details have yet been entered into the production, the new GTA game may be well beyond our expectations. If the GTA contains 6 NFT , it’s going to be very complicated. Because combining a technology that has not yet been settled in such an expected production can also have very serious troubling consequences.
There’s also a lot of irony to be zelnick’s statement about “not moving forward with the past.” GTA: Trilogy Definitive Edition is a sloppy package of revised PS2-era games, but according to Zelnick, “it has significantly exceeded our commercial expectations” and the irony is that Rockstar is launching Grand Theft Auto V for the current generation of consoles next March. Revisiting past games is part of Rockstar’s deal, so we’ll see in the coming days what impact Zelnick’s words will have.
