For years, there have been claims that Rockstar has a plan for what we might call classics of the Grand Theft Auto series. These claims were often judged as wishes expressed by fans of the series over a long period of time. But now there are allegations that have more ground to make.
In fact, take-two interactive recently unpublished some popular GTA modes, and then announced that three remakes were being worked on that had not yet been announced.
Kotaku confirmed in a sense that remaster versions of the three GTA games are on the way, according to information from three different sources. Of course, since there is no official statement yet, we cannot be specific about this, but Kotaku says his sources are very reliable.
According to these sources, Rockstar; GTA III is working on remaster versions of GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. GTA Remastered Trilogyis prepared with the Unreal game engine, while “old and new graphics” are also used. One of the sources said the images gave him the impression of an over-mode GTA. No details of the gameplay have been shared, but we will not wait long for the release date.
In fact, there were some changes in the plans last year due to the pandemic. Normally, this three-game package was planned to be given as a bonus to buyers of the next generation version of GTA V and GTA Online, after which plans changed and it was decided to release it on its own, in the first months of 2021. Then there was the change of plan again, and at the moment this remaster package is scheduled to be released in late October or early November. The platforms on which the package will exit; Listed as PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, Stadia and mobile platforms, in short, it comes everywhere, 🙂 Pc and mobile versions could also be extended into next year; Rockstar prioritizes console ports.
Another important claim is raised in the last part of Kotaku’s story. There are also remaster plans for Red Dead Redemption, it has been suggested. But whether the new remasters come or not will depend on the sales performance of the GTA Remastered Trilogy.
We look forward to the announcement by Rockstar, we are following it very closely.
