The surprises of the GTA Trilogy San Andreas, which has been released in recent weeks, do not end. Apart from the game being released in a very different way than expected (and should have been), it turned out that Rockstar had “forgotten” songs, source codes, and even a pornographic game mode that had previously led to the game’s scandalous agenda.
One of these forgotten codes attracted a lot of attention after it was announced that GTA San Andreas would be released on Oculus Quest 2. There is an incomplete VR (Virtual Reality) mode in the game.
GTA Trilogy San Andreas has a little virtual reality mode
According to a tweet from Ben Turpin, one of the names in the gaming media, it is possible to put the game into VR mode with a “debug Unreal” command that can be used in-game. Of course, this fashion doesn’t really mean virtual reality, it seems more like a high-end First-Person mode.
Considering that GTA Trilogy does not support VR devices, it doesn’t make much sense to switch to virtual reality mode. But with Mark Zuckerberg saying that the Oculus Rift-compatible mode has long been developed for San Andreas, and looking at this incomplete mode, Rockstar could one day bring VR support to GTA Trilogy games.
Rockstar recently apologized for the GTA Trilogy and promised that classic games would return.
