Take-Two Interactive released its latest earnings report for the quarter ended June 30, 2022. The report presented the latest sales figures of best-selling franchises and other games.
According to the report, the Grand Theft Auto series is Take-Two’s best-selling franchise with over 380 million sales, and according to Take-Two, it’s one of the most successful, iconic and critically acclaimed brands in the entertainment world.
Grand Theft Auto V has now sold over 170 million copies, making it the best-selling game of the last 10 years in the U.S., according to the report. The Red Dead Redemption series has sold over 68 million copies worldwide. Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold more than 45 million copies, making it the second best-selling game in the U.S. over the past five years.
The NBA 2K series, on the other hand, has sold more than 125 million copies worldwide. The NBA 2K series is the best-selling basketball franchise in the United States. The Borderlands series sold more than 75 million copies worldwide, as in the previous quarter. Reported sales for Borderlands 2 are over 26 million. Borderlands 3 has over 15 million.
Finally, the Sid Meier’s Civilization series sold more than 62 million units, the same as the previous quarter. The BioShock series sold 39 million units of the same mold compared to the last quarter.
