Marcus Lehto, one of the creators of the Halo universe, last appeared in a sci-fi-themed FPS game called Disintegration, but did not achieve the success he was looking for.
Lehlo, also known as “Master Chief’s father,” announced that he had joined Electronic Arts to direct a first-person play that had not yet been announced. Lehlo will set up a new studio within EA in Seattle.
Lehlo says this new studio will focus on first-person games and “I can’t wait to share more information about what we’ve created.” For now, however, all information is limited to this.
Lehto was president and game director of V1 Interactive, but the studio closed its doors after disintegration failed. We wish him all the best from now on.
