Halo’s developer team, 343 Industries, has announced in recent months (august) that it will not have co-op and ‘Forge’ support for the game’s release; however, Halo Infinite has announcedthat it will be added with the upcoming seasons after its release. The first plan mentioned was to bring co-op support of the game’s story with Season 2, and ‘Forge’ support with Season 3. Unfortunately, there has been news of the postponement in both modes.
Halo Infinite co-op and ‘Forge’ modes have been postponed
Season 2 and Season 3 have been postponed as of this week, although it is still technically valid that they will be released with the aforementioned seasons. Therefore, co-op support and the ‘Forge’ option have also been postponed. Recently, 343 Industries announced that it is extending Halo Infinite Season 1, which is expected to end in early 2022, until May 2022. Joseph Staten, head of creative division, said the decision was made “to give ourselves a little more time to ensure that Season 2 meets our high-quality goal so that we can finish the development of Season 2 in a healthy and sustainable way for our team.”
Halo Infinite, released on November 15, 2021 in a surprise multiplayer mode, seems to be able to satisfy players for now. Released for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, and Microsoft Windows, the production will get story mode on December 8, 2021.
