343 Industries says we’ll see a different side to master chief, the protagonist of the series, in the Halo TV series.
Halo transmedia studio president Kiki Wolfkill said bringing this iconic Xbox character to a new media after 20 years in video games was the biggest challenge facing the team. The games put us in the armor of The Chief, and in the series they will say , “Sit back, we’ll show you a side of Chief that you can’t see by playing the game,” Wolfkill adds: “You have to be able to do something new in the Halo universe for the television series and we want people to experience it differently, it’s a big responsibility.”
The series will star Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief, known for such films as The Wire, Orange if the New Black, First Man, American Gods (Mad Sweeney).
Wolfkill has previously said that thanks to the TV series, they can really focus on the character and tell the story in ways that are difficult to use in an FPS game.
The series will air on the Paramount+ streaming service in the first quarter of 2022.
