Sometimes I’m really amazed at the time we’re going through. In the last 10 years, so much different content has been produced that every time we say something more absurd can’t come, we’re really seeing something weirder.
This time I’m here with some interesting news from the DC front. HBO Max; The Warner Brothers are making a side series of Batman villain Penguin; Yes, the Oswald Cobblepot as we know it will now have his own series. Unfortunately, danny devito doesn’t star, but sinceit’s going to be a side series of The Batman, colin farrell is going to see me as Penguin.
Variety first reported that the 2016-16 “1980s” The studio wants to create a vast universe for The Batman. Directedby Matt Reeves ,the film will be an important touchstone in DC’s new era of cinematics. Lauren LeFranc will write the screenplay for Penguin, while Dylan Clarke, one of the producers of The Batman, will also be on the project as a producer.
HBO Max is also preparing for gotham PD, a crime series set in the same universe. The series, which continues to film under the working name “Arkham”, will also follow a young James Gordon story.
It’s a real privilege to live in this crazy new era. Sony is making Madame Web movies, and on the one hand, the Penguin series is coming. Now comic book adaptations have reached a point where the life of a random person in a comic book can be moved to the screen as “Spider-Man eats hot dogs in the back while throwing a net.” I’m looking forward to the next absurd comic book adaptation.
