HBO is moving quickly, adding three more players to its team for the TV adaptation of The Last of Us, developed by Naughty Dog. Another original voice actor involved in the game has now joined the cast. Jeffrey Pierce, who voiced Joel’s brother Tommy, will now be part of the adaptation, Deadline reports. But instead of taking on the role of Tommy, Pierce will take on the role of Perry, a rebel in the quarantine zone.
In addition, Murray Bartlett and Con O’Neill were included in the squad. Bartlett will take on the role of Frank, while O’Neill will play Bill, one of Joel’s allies in the first game. Judging by how the squad has been shaped so far, it looks like we’re going to delve deeper into Joel’s past and the events of the first game.
The TV adaptation of The Last of Us does not yet have a clear release date.
