During today’s Summer Games Fest, Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima offered a brief glimpse of death stranding director’s cut for PlayStation 5.
The trailer shows his protagonist Sam Porter Bridges, played by The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus, entering the underground bunker of several armed guards on patrol. Feeling that the road forward can be difficult, Bridges notices a cardboard box on the shelf next to him and then walks in. This is obviously a reference to Metal Gear Solid, where the main character Snake hides himself using a cardboard box to sneak past enemies.
