A lot of video game adaptations will be available on streaming service screens and in cinemas soon. One of the most successful examples of this new era was the film Sonic the Hedgehog. Although the fact that it coincided with the beginning of the pandemic process prevented the film from achieving the desired success at the box office, the record for“best opening film” still belongs to Sonic. This success has convinced the studio to make a sequel, and a larger Sonic Universe awaits us in the second film.
At the end of the first film, we learned that Tails, as well as Knuckles, one of the fan favorite characters, would also appear in the film. At a time when set photos were slowly coming to light, we had the chance to see Sonic, Tails and Knuckles at the same time. Of course, we did not see these characters in action, which will be included as CGI in the film. However, in the photos that came in, the team showed models of all three characters in the original size together. Knuckles looks ready to fight again with his irritable stance.
News from the set also announced the return of Jim Carrey(played byDoctor Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik). Carrey’s presence, which was even more similar to the original Robotnik, was one of the elements that raised the film’s level of entertainment considerably. Sonic 2, directed by Jeff Fowler,is expected to be released ;d April 8, 2022.
