Rainbow Six Extraction is only weeks away. The game, which has been announced that it will not have its own operators, will take all its characters from the world of Siege. Speaking to the PLAY team, the game’s director, Patrik Methe, explained how these operators would adapt to the Extraction realm.
Methe says the team has had “heated” discussions about the issue before. In the first step, the developer was unable to decide whether siege operators would fit into the world they wanted to create. However, it was later agreed that this harmony could be achieved by changing the equipment and abilities of the characters.
The director says all operators have changed by sticking to the original. Some operators will see the intensity of this change increase, and in others we will hardly see any change. For now, the number of operators set at 18 is also on the agenda in the future.
