Now, it may seem like it’s ancient times in history, but there was an event called E3 for a time, dear Gamers, and there will be some of you who remember 🙂 Joking aside, we witnessed many game announcements during those exuberant periods of E3, including some in our memories. Ghostwire: The Tokyo announcement was exactly one of those in this category. Here is Ikumi Nakamura, who is in our minds with that announcement, who has doubled his popularity; He’s the boss of his own studio now.
Shortly after the E3 announcement, there was news that Nakamura was leaving Tango Gameworks. Then, to set his new course, he wandered around, eventually returning to Tokyo and deciding to start his own studio. Nakamura, who shared his plans for it last year, has now officially announced the establishment of his studio.
Nakamura; Unseen says that this studio will be a center where different cultures intersect and artists come together, and its main purpose is to “transcend the boundaries of the world of video games”.
Joining the studio are Naoki Katakai of Tango Gameworks, Misuzu Watanabe of Capcom, Liam Wong of Ubisoft and Raul Ibarra of Moon Studios.
“I love mystery, I love horror movies, zombies, supernatural events and science fiction; I find these species fascinating, and I’m good at it. Therefore, I want to continue to work on games related to these issues.” This raises the possibility that the first game from his company could be a game that fits these themes.
But Nakamura didn’t just want to be content with developing games; he stated that his goal is to issue new IPs and that he wants these brands to be included in various media. He wants to create brands that find their place in animes, clothing, educational materials, and make a game that will have an impact in these areas. Time will tell how successful you’ll be at this.
