Resident Evil is known from the series that has been a part of our lives for a long time. There are certainly those who stop following in between, those who miss the end of the rope and have difficulty in following it, or those who have never been infected. Therefore, not everyone has to know what time period Netflix’s Resident Evil series takes place in and where it is positioned in the main story stream. If you are one of those who intend to follow the series that will meet the audience as of today, let’s take you to this side and take a look at the answer to this question together.

All of the events began in 1998 at the Spencer mansion, followed by the Raccoon City pandemic, and in the following parts of the series, we dealt with all sorts of troubles in America and Europe. For now, it is possible to say that we have made an important journey towards the origin of events with the last game, Village.
Netflix’s series takes place in two different time zones, 2022 and 2036. Therefore, it is possible to say that there is a story added to the end of the Resident Evil timeline for both dates. While we will be guests of New Raccoon City in 2022, we will travel to Europe once again in 2036.
First, in 2022, Albert Wesker and his daughters, Billie and Jade, go to Raccoon City, where all the events began, as it was rebuilt, and it seems that all the events are starting here 🙂 (Did you wonder how Wesker survived that volcano and how he came back from the dead?) 14 years later, with Jade, who is now an adult, we find ourselves in a Europe that has turned into a place of doom as a result of the new pandemic that has broken out. Zombies are all over the place, corporations have created safe spaces for themselves, and a kind of city-states have been established.
Andrew Dabb says that “all the events that take place in the games are part of this world” and that the main story flow is adhered to. Therefore, we can say that the series will become a part of this flow. How the Canon will proceed from now on, we are looking forward to it, we are following it closely.
