Intel Extreme Masters 2022, counter strike: Global Offensive tournament, organized in collaboration with ESL and Intel, begins. The two-stage tournament will be played from February 15th to 16th, followed by the main stage matches from February 17th to February 27th.
A total of 16 teams will participate in the Play-In stage, which will take place from February 15th to 16th, and the 8 ranked teams will be eligibed to compete in the main stage of the IEM Katowice 2022 tournament. The IEM 2022 tournament will take place in Katowice, Poland from February 17th to 27th. The 16 teams that successfully completed the qualifiers will compete in a total prize pool of $1 million.
The teams competing in the IEM Katowice Play-In are NiP, Wisla Krakow, Copenhagen Flames, fnatic, GODSENT, MOUZ, Sprout, FaZe, OG, Renegades, ENCE, Entropiq, BIG, Complexity, Astralis and MIBR.
The teams directly included in IEM Katowice 2022 are Natus Vincere, Gambit, Vitality, G2, Virtus.pro, Heroic, Furia and Liquid. In IEM Katowice 2022, group stage and playoff matches will be played in a 3-game series format, while the Grand Final will be played in a 5-game series format.
