Intel cited the GDC 2022 technology demo and Nvidia’s own upscale technology, which rivals DLSS and AMD’s FSR technologies. In this video, we can see XeSS’s comparisons with natural 4K and natural 1080p resolution.
XeSS stands for Intel Xe Super Sampling – this is an AI-based upscale technology just like DLSS and FSR.
XeSS will not be limited to the manufacturer brand, that is, it will support both AMD and NVIDIA processors. Considering that AMD has just introduced FSR 2.0, competition in this area will benefit players directly.
The first studios to announce their support for XeSS were 505 Games, EXOR Studios, Fishlabs, Codemasters, Hashbane, IO Interactive, Illfonic, Kojima Productions, Massive Work Studio, PUBG Studios, Techland, Ubisoft and Wonder People. We can also be certain that the number will increase day by day.
