As you know, the disastrous rise of Game Pass in the last few years has pushed Sony to finally innovate in the Playstation Plus service. The service, the details of which were announced a month or two ago, finally entered service for Turkey as of June 23. It is natural that you are confused but you are confused because you need to sit down and examine a little bit to fully understand the system when you say three different membership models, different pricing and so on. But don’t worry, we immediately took that job and evaluated the new Playstation Plus for you.
First, let’s take the lowest version that previous PSN Plus subscription subscribers automatically switched to, with substantially the same features: Essential. If you’re not a new PSN Plus member, here’s how you’re used to. Three games will continue to be gifted each month, and the PSN Plus games you have already purchased will remain in place. You will need at least this version to be able to play online with your friends. Beauties such as cloud storage continue as well…
When we come to the next package, Extra, things get a lot more interesting – which will probably be the version that most of us are really interested in. Extra adds a “Game catalog” to your account, which is really a solid catalog that plays from every string, where everyone can find something to their liking. I attached a select list to the article. This version, which comes to 400 TL per year, is really not even a game money in Sony’s standards, but I think it does more than it deserves with the games it gives. AC: From Valhalla to Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, Horizon Zero Dawn, Spider-Man, Red Dead Redemption 2, you can play tons of great Sony games. It seemed to me that they had packed special games into this package in particular; it’s nice.
Let’s come to the highest package, Deluxe. If you give another 60 TL per year here, “Classics Catalog” and “Game Trials” are added to your membership. To be honest, the Classics Catalog, which I had set my sights on from the beginning and eagerly awaited, is a bit flat for the time being. There are beautiful games in this catalog, which includes old classics such as the so-called PS1, PS2, PSP, Vita, PS3, which are very difficult for us to access, but to be honest, I expected much more. So I can’t say that it satisfies me. Ha, of course, more games will be added here over time, even nice touches like the addition of Trophy to some old classics like Syphon Filter, but if you are thinking about this version just for this catalog for the time being, I would say wait a little longer. The other extra of the Deluxe, the Game Trials… Well, it’s nice on paper again, but Sony Game Pass doesn’t go the way and doesn’t want to give away all its heavy weapons for free from the first day, so it can’t go beyond stealing a finger of honey into the mouth. Still, it’s an advantage to be able to keep a relatively new and popular game like Horizon: Forbidden West, for example, and play it in a two-hour trial and experience whether it appeals to you. But I got the impression that they had gotten used to their hands a little more cowardly at this level when they could do more.
In summary, I think the new Playstation Plus has managed to increase the competition with Game Pass. Although it is a bit annoying to give only a trial version instead of adding the games belonging to Playstation Studios directly to the catalog, the Essential and Extra packages offer a satisfying experience both in terms of price and content. The Deluxe package, which is already deprived of PS Now content in our country, needs to be a little fuller.
PlayStation Plus packs include:
Essential: Monthly free games, online multiplayer, exclusive discounts
1 Month: 40 TL
3 Months: 100 TL
12 Months: 240 TL
Extra: Monthly free games, online multiplayer, special discounts, catalog of games
1 Month: 60 TL
3 Months: 165 TL
12 Months: 400 TL
Deluxe: Monthly free games, online multiplayer, special discounts, game catalog, classics catalog, game trials
1 Month: 70 TL
3 Months: 190 TL
12 Months: 460 TL
Normally, the old PS Now and the new “Cloud Streaming” feature were included in Deluxe, but unfortunately we cannot take advantage of this service because this service is not active in our country.
Gems in the game catalogue Saying “game catalog” is a bit of an easy getaway. Therefore, we have said let’s list a few examples of gems that may be of particular interest to you, where you can get the right to the money you give.
