The idea that Cyberpunk 2077 could join Microsoft’s Game Pass service was frequently mentioned, and this question was posed to CDPR president Adam Kicinski during the investor S&C event. Kicinski has denied the allegations, saying: “There is no such thing; instead of saying:
“We always take advantage of all business opportunities, but this type of subscription model is good at certain moments of the life cycle of products, not so early. Witcher 3 also stayed on subscription services for a certain period of time, but each time we have to take into account the benefit and cost of this, comparing it to sales. So it’s a decision we made based on the data. It’s too early for Cyberpunk 2077.”
Earlier this month, a CDPR spokesman said that “there is no Game Pass plan for Cyberpunk 2077,” but Kicinski’s remarks raise the possibility that Cyberpunk 2077 will be joining the Game Pass service some time later. Of course, it would be fanciful to expect this to happen anytime soon, especially considering cyberpunk 2077 is a bestseller in steam discounts.
Cyberpunk 2077 was released last year.
