Angry Centaur Gaming’s Jeremy Penter claimed yesterday that the new Assassin;s Creed game will take place between the 14th and 16th centuries, during the Aztecs period. Bloomberg’s famous reporter Jason Schreier said that this is not true and said, “The next Assassin;s Creed game is called Rift and the game is in Baghdad.”
“The next game will be Assassin;s Creed Infinity and this game will include different games, biomes, etc.; I heard about the main two of them, and neither of them were Aztecs,” Schreier said, thus denying the rumor that the next Assassin;s Creed game would be about the Aztecs.
Ubisoft hasn’t announced the new Assassin’s Creed yet, but the next game is said to be a privacy-focused, smaller-scale game.
Bloomberg already wrote earlier this year that the new game will be called Rift and that we will play Basim from Assassin;s Creed Valhalla. Schreier stands by his claim.
Assassin;s Creed Infinity is an officially announced game, but we will learn the details later.
