Sony President and CEO Jim Ryan made several statements after the Bungie acquisition. Ryan said Bungie is not the last to be sold and Sony will make more purchases.
Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Ryan said: “We will definitely make more purchases. We’re not done yet. We still have a long way to go with the PlayStation. I’m going to spend most of my time with Bungie CEO Pete Parsons and the team at Bungie. I’ll make sure everything goes well. We have more moves to make.”
Ryan added: “We’ve been working on the Bungie deal for five or six months. This acquisition is not in response to Microsoft’s recently announced purchase of Activision Blizzard.”
