Sony, one of the giant names in the field of gaming and technology, has announced various independent games that will come to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. Among these games introduced within the PlayStation Indies are 7 different independent productions. Games introduced include The Tomorrow Children: Phoenix Edition, Inscryption, Sea of Stars, and more.

The release dates of some of these productions, which have been added to the games that PlayStation users can wait, have been confirmed. Here’s the list of indie games announced as part of PlayStation Indies July 2022:

1- Sea of Stars

Sea of Stars, which will come to both PS4 and PS5 consoles, is being developed by Sabotage Studio and is planned to be presented to players by the same team. Featuring a turn-based role-playing system inspired by the classics, Sea of Stars is about the powers created by the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer. The only force that can fend off these creatures is the Eclipse Magic incident. The forces of the sun and moon need to be combined to make Eclipse Magic happen.

Sea of Stars will be a role-playing game that is set in The Messenger universe and will be about the events that preceded The Messenger. The Messenger game is a 2D platform adventure game with retro graphics released by Sabotage Studio in 2018. With this game, the universe is expanding.

Sea of Stars tells the story of two boys who combine the power of the sun and moon to create a special power called Eclipse Magic. Eclipse Magic is the only way to defeat the terrifying creatures of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer. The game aims to deliver a retro-inspired modern RPG experience with turn-based battles, storytelling, exploration, and environment interaction.

There are timed attacks in the battle system in the game. It also includes a wide range of combo attacks, powerful hits, and more. Sea of Stars offers players a world to explore. To explore this world, you can wander, swim, climb, jump, jump over the ledges or go up.

It is not known when Sea of Stars will debut on PS4 and PS5 consoles. On the other hand, Sabotage Studio recently announced that the game was postponed in 2023. Here’s what was said about procrastination:

“As we approach a huge milestone, we’re making the game’s release year even clearer. We have two main priorities for the game: quality and playability. With these elements in mind, we now officially confirm that Sea of Stars will be released in 2023.

2 Schim

As with Sea of Stars, Schim is coming to both PS4 and PS5 consoles. Developed by Ewoud van der Werf, this production will be broadcast by the Extra Nice team. SCHiM is a production where we have to jump from shadow to shadow in a challenging and lively environment. In this 3D platformer, elements of light, shading, and animation come to the fore. The release date of the game, which tries to reveal a different experience, is not yet clear.

In Schim, which offers a unique 3D platform experience among the shadows, you should not go out of the shadow. The shadow of every object, vehicle and living thing takes place in this production. Cult of the Lamb, a 2D action roguelike game developed by Massive Monster and published by Devolver Digital, aims to offer players a different experience. In this game, where you will start to spread your own cult and idea in the land of false prophets, you will travel to mysterious regions to form your own community and try to announce your words to become the only true cult.

In Cult of the Lamb, you’ll be able to collect and use resources to build new structures. You will perform dark rituals to appease the gods and preach to strengthen the faith of your community.

With ‘Cult of the Lamb’, you’ll explore a randomly generated world, battle opposing communities, and defeat rival cult leaders to expand the dominance of your cult. Plus, you’ll be able to train your community, discover the secrets of four mysterious regions, and embark on a grand adventure.

Cult of the Lamb is coming to PC via Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch and Steam on August 11, 2022, with the exception of PlayStation 4 and PS5 consoles.

4- Signalis

Signalis, the action-adventure horror game developed by Rose-engine and to be published by Humble Games, PLAYISM, is coming to PS4 consoles. Signalis will be a classic survival horror experience set in a dystopian future where a dark secret of humanity is revealed. In this game, as Elster, a Replica technician searching for his lost dreams, you’ll solve a cosmic mystery, escape terrifying creatures, and try to take over an extraterrestrial facility.

In Signalis, you’ll wake up from sleep in a nightmare and explore a surreal world as Elster, a technician searching for her lost partner and lost dreams. Featuring cosmic horror and classic psychological survival experience, you’ll be able to see terrifying secrets, challenging puzzles and nightmarish creatures.

Signalis is set in a universe where humanity has colonized the solar system. In this universe there are humanoid androids known as Replicas. These androids live among the people and serve as workers, civil servants and protectors along with the citizens. In this game where you will face various challenges, you need to carefully manage your scarce resources and look for solutions to difficult riddles while experiencing fear and anxiety. One of your main tasks is to search the dark corners of an abandoned spaceship one by one, investigate the mysterious fate of the inhabitants of a cursed facility and find out what is behind it.

Incorporating classic cosmic horror elements, the production is inspired by the works of Stanley Kubrick, Hideaki Anno and David Lynch. Signalis features 3D character animations, dynamic lighting, shadows and cinematic sci-fi elements.

5- The Tomorrow Children: Phoenix Edition

First released for PS4 consoles in 2016, The Tomorrow Children is coming back with many new features. With the Phoenix Edition created by developer Q-Games, new islands will be added to the game and new additions will be made to existing islands.

Players will be able to switch between islands using a hook.

With The Tomorrow Children: Phoenix Edition, you’ll be able to log in to Void. The production, which will offer both new and old players a lot of content to discover, will take place in an alternative future that reflects what happened after a failed attempt to unite the minds of all humanity. The dominance of civilization is now in the hands of the Projection Clones. Here are life forms that can venture deep into the Void in search of surviving humans This is where you will come in.

First released for PC on October 19, 2021 via Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, and the Humble Store, the horror-themed card game Inscryption is now coming to PS4 and PS5 consoles. Developed by Daniel Mullins Games, the developer of Pony Island and The Hex, and published by Devolver Digital in 2021, the card battle game Inscryption blends the theme of room escape and puzzles.
