Hideo Kojima recently announced that Amazon Prime has shelved a game concept because it looks like the hit superhero TV series The Boys. Kojima, who went into some detail in his Twitter post, stated that he initially dreamed of a project similar to The Boys and that Death Stranding actor Mads Mikkelsen would star in the role.
According to Kojima, the concept involved a detective duo facing off against super-powered heroes behind the scenes. The Boys is about a group of people who swear to kill superheroes who are corrupt because of power and fame.
The Boys began streaming on Amazon Prime in 2019. So this concept is likely to be Kojima’s next project after Death Stranding. However, this project has unfortunately been officially shelved.
On the other hand, Kojima recently announced that Xbox Game Studios has formed a partnership to develop a new game.
