Young Manchester United player Mason Greenwood, who was arrested by Manchester Police on 30 January on rape charges, will now say goodbye to the pes – or eFootball as he is now known.
Greenwood, whose name was almost wiped out after being kicked off his team, had previously been removed from Fifa.
EA took the first step following the arrest, followed by Konami, the publisher of eFootball. Pointing to the investigation and serious evidence, Konami said in an interview with The Athletic that Mason Greenwood would be removed from all games.
Konami says that there will be changes especially in the mobile version of PES 2021. Players will no longer be able to receive Mason Greenwood, but Greenwood will not be removed from accounts that already have players.
