Konami released eFootball on September 30 in the form of early access and faced serious backlash and criticism from players. The game was not yet fully completed, there were serious problems with its modeling and gameplay. Oguz also explained in great detail the current pros and cons of the game in his First Look article .
On April 14, eFootball will get version 1.0.0 and will be in full release. In this version, new features, modes, balance updates, debugging, changes in every area you can think of will be waiting for you.
Konami said that there are many reasons for the criticism of the game, and that the transition to a new engine and meeting with new platforms are the reasons for the exit of these criticisms.
“There were many reasons why the game was incomplete. Just as we switched to a new football game engine, started supporting the next generation of consoles such as PS5 and Xbox Series, changed the gameplay to free to play. We wanted to offer players the new eFootball 2022 as soon as possible.
As a result, the game received very harsh criticism in terms of quality. Based on all the feedback and thoughts we’ve received since September, we’re focused on improving and fixing the game. We take the opinions of our players extremely seriously. We will continue to improve the game from now on and will also be grateful for the valuable feedback of our players” konami spokesperson.
The fact that the game is released as half in this way also has a direct relevance to the preference of new football games for the autumn months, after all, the European football seasons begin during this period. Such a quick decision was made not to miss that window, but the important thing is to learn from the mistakes.
Our eFootball review will be here some time after the game’s transition to the full version.
