Konami Digital Entertainment BV today announced that eFootball 2022 will be released worldwide on September 30 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10, and PC Steam.
With the release of eFootball 2022 on September 30, users will have an idea of what to expect from the new, free-to-play football simulation platform. Following the launch of the game, iOS and Android versions will be released with the first major update scheduled for autumn.
eFootball™ 2022 Launch Contents
eFootball™; is based on eFootball™ World, where players can enjoy matches with real-life teams from September 30th at no cost:
Offline Matches
Play offline against AI or a friend with a total of nine clubs. Clubs to take part in the launch are FC Barcelona, FC Bayern München, Juventus, Manchester United, Arsenal FC, SC Corinthians Paulista, CR Flamengo, CA River Plate and São Paulo FC.
Choose from six stadiums. These stadiums include the Nou Camp, Old Trafford, Allianz Stadium, Emirates Stadium, Allianz Arena and eFootball Stadium.
Online Events
Participate in weekly online events and earn a variety of rewards, such as GP, that support cross-platform pairing (PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One) using predetermined teams.
eFootball™ Big Update Content Coming After Launch in 2022
A variety of features will be added for free, including eFootball™ World; and Creative Teams, in a major update that will come in the fall and the exact date will be announced later. The aforementioned update will also introduce the platform’s new monetization model. This model is specially balanced to give all players the chance to reach similar levels.

Creative Teams
Sign players and coaches who match your favorite formations and game tactics, then train and empower them to play against players from around the world. eFootball™ 2022 gives players the opportunity to create their dream team more easily by targeting the transfers they want.
Choose a Base Team from over 600 licensed clubs/teams where you can use your coat of arms, jersey and stadium* before building your dream squad
New Match Modes
eFootball™ Creative League – This mode is a league where creative teams created by players compete against other players. Collect points to be promoted to the next league level and earn rewards based on your performance in each of the 10-round matches
Tour Event – Play in tour format against AI opponents, collect Event Points to earn rewards
Challenge Event – Play online against other players, complete the goals set to earn rewards
Online Quick Match – Play an ordinary online match against other players with more than 600 licensed clubs/teams; this mode supports cross-platform pairing (PCs and consoles only)
Online Match Lobby – create your own online match room and invite other players to a one-on-one match.
New Player Types
Standard – players based on their performances in the current season. These can be purchased with eFootball™ Coins (Chance Deal item) or GP (Nominating Contracts item).
Trending – players who impress with their performances in certain matches or weeks; They can be purchased with Nominating Contracts.
Featured – Specially selected players who can be purchased with eFootball™ Coins or eFootball™ Points (Nominating Contract item).
Legendary – players who impress with their amazing games in a given season can be purchased with eFootball™ Coins or eFootball™ Points (Nominating Contract item)
eFootball™ has three in-game currencies. These include: eFootball™ Coins (premium currency), GP (earned by playing) and eFootball™ Points (earned by playing)
Match Pass & Goals*
After players play with different match types for a while, Match Passes begin to earn “Nominating Contract”, eFootball™ Coins and more, which allows contract signings with selected players. Users will also have the option to purchase a premium “Advantage Match Pass” for even bigger rewards.
You also have the chance to earn some in-game rewards by completing certain objectives. You can unlock “Premium Goals” by spending eFootball™ Coins to earn even bigger rewards.
