Krafton, the developer of PUBG Battlegrounds, has announced that he has started to develop his new project about One of Korea’s important fantasy works, The Bird That Drinks Tears.
Written by Lee Yeongdo, this series consists of four books, Krafton working on a completely new experience based on this world and its characters.
Krafton says he’s adding world-class talent for the game, as well as concept artist Iain McCaig, who previously worked on Star Wars and The Avengers.
McCaig said, “The Bird That Drinks Tears is unlike any fantasy story I’ve ever read, it’s a work that offers whole new ways of exploring human nature. That’s what attracted me the most. I think it’s an epic piece on the level of The Lord of the Rings or Dune. I put aside my own projects for this job. For me to do something like that, the work in question had to be incredibly special. This novel is such a work.”
In the meantime, let’s add that Krafton is currently collaborating on Ubisoft for the Assassin;s Creed-themed crossover in PUBG Battlegrounds.
